We would like to request a secondary authorization step before a job can be marked complete if no time has been tracked.
Over the last two weeks, we have had multiple situations where crew members accidentally marked jobs as complete without realizing it. They then moved on to the next job, which either caused the customer to be billed before the work was actually completed or required our office to catch the issue after noticing no time had been tracked.
Ideally, if a crew member attempts to mark a job complete without starting or tracking time, a confirmation window would appear with a message such as:
“Are you sure you want to complete this job? No time has been tracked for this visit.”
This extra confirmation would help prevent accidental job completion, incorrect billing, and scheduling confusion.
