Ability to auto bill inside the job or visit itself, with billing settings on each job instead of on the customer. The same customer often has work that should be billed in very different ways.
Example: a client is on weekly mowing, and we want that billed every week. The same client also books a $5,000 landscape install. That job should never be auto-billed. We invoice it by hand with a deposit and a final bill. Today the customer-level setting applies to both jobs, so we can't do this cleanly.
What we'd like on each job (recurring or one-off), like Jobber:
  1. Billing type: per visit (charge for each completed visit) or fixed price (a set amount per billing period).
  2. When to invoice: after each visit, weekly, monthly, on a custom schedule, when the job is closed, or manual only (never auto-bill).
  3. Invoicing queue: jobs that are due under their own rule show up in a "Requires Invoicing" list, so we can review them and batch-send.
  4. Optional: auto-create and send the invoice for jobs set to bill weekly or after each visit.
Why it matters: we have weekly mowing, monthly contracts and large one-off projects, often for the same customer. With per-job rules, recurring work is billed on time and big projects are never invoiced by accident.
