Add customer status (Active/Inactive/Written Off) to the GraphQL API

Right now, changing a customer's status is only possible from the customer profile in the UI — there's no way to do it through the GraphQL API.
updateCustomer
accepts contact info, address, tax settings, and custom fields, but not status, and there's no dedicated mutation for it either.Use case: We're doing a cleanup pass on a legacy customer list inherited when we bought the company — about 2,172 records with no email, no phone, and no billing activity since January 2025. We'd like to mark these Inactive in bulk, but without an API path, it has to be done one customer at a time through the UI's Change Status action.
Request: Expose
status
as a field on CustomerInput
(or add a dedicated mutation) so this is scriptable — even a bulk variant that accepts a list of customer IDs would solve this well.Happy to provide more detail if useful.

updated the status to
complete
this is currently possible There's a dedicated setCustomerStatus mutation you can use:
mutation {
setCustomerStatus(customerId: 123, status: INACTIVE) {
id
status
}
}
It accepts ACTIVE or INACTIVE (WRITTEN_OFF and PENDING_APPROVAL are read-only states). Requires the customers.UPDATE permission.
There's no bulk variant yet, so for your 2,172 records you'd loop over the customer IDs and call it per customer — but it's fully scriptable.
